Internship

Vaccine Research Analyst (Unpaid, Remote)

About the Role:
Dive deep into the world of vaccine research with VaxCalc, where AI isn't just a tool—it's your collaborator. You'll work alongside AI as a peer researcher, ensuring every vaccine ingredient and amount is perfectly accurate. You’ll translate your analysis into YAML to feed into our software, creating clear and easily understood vaccine ingredient labels—just like those we expect at the grocery store. Plus, you'll contribute to open-sourcing this data, making vaccine ingredients transparent and accessible to everyone.

What You’ll Learn:

Software Developer (Unpaid, Remote)

About the Role:
At VaxCalc, we believe in empowering developers to work smarter, not harder. As part of our team, you'll use Flowise, a low-code tool that lets you build powerful AI-driven chatbots without getting lost in complex frameworks. You'll work with our custom knowledge base to create chatbots that can assist with vaccine-related queries. This role is perfect for those who want to dive into AI development quickly and efficiently, while also gaining experience with languages and frameworks like Ruby, Rails, Javascript, Python, Postgres, and more.

At VaxCalc, we believe in action over paperwork. Rather than resumes and interviews, we prefer to see what you can do. We're looking for those who thrive on learning and solving real-world challenges.

How to Apply:

  1. Choose Your Role: Decide whether you’re applying for the Vaccine Research Analyst or Software Developer position.
  2. Audition:
    • Vaccine Research Analyst Audition: We’ll provide you with a vaccine package insert and ask you to analyze it using any AI tools you prefer. Your task will be to ensure accuracy and build a list of ingredients. Show us your thought process and results.
    • Software Developer Audition: You’ll be tasked with creating a simple AI-driven chatbot using the open-source low-code tool Flowise. Your goal is to demonstrate how the chatbot interacts with a custom knowledge base (it can be a small example). We want to see your code, approach, and how you collaborate with AI.
  3. Submission: Share your audition with us by submitting a link to your project or providing a document explaining your approach and results.

Deadline: Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, so the earlier you submit, the better!
