Yesterday, we sent an email titled Children of Light Don’t Flinch.
It was about seeing clearly — and refusing to fold when the system tries to rush you, silence you, or push you out the door.
John read that email and sent us this.
His story is raw, powerful, and true.
I don’t always respond to emails but I do read every one of them. This story resonated with me, as I can think back to my firstborn. It was July 10th, 2017 and we were already at our first pediatrician visit by referral from a primary care physician I was seeing.
I had already been semi-prepared due to my own deep dive into my health issues and what I learned from a functional medical doctor. But I didn’t feel empowered like I do today — mainly due to VaxCalc.
My wife and I emphatically rejected the nonsense and indoctrination the pediatrician was trying to hard sell us on. The pediatric gestapo claimed we couldn’t trust the internet — that “anyone could read an article and claim to be an expert.”
Not long after, we were told we should find another practice due to our stance on vaccines. I asked, “Why does it matter if the vaccinated are allegedly protected?” They said because our daughter was unvaccinated, she posed a risk to the vaccinated children.
That statement was their undoing. It told me everything. It confirmed what I already suspected: this wasn’t about science. It was about compliance. And money.
Eventually, we found another pediatrician through referral. At first, they said they were fine with our decision not to vaccinate. But a year later, they sent a nasty letter saying we were no longer welcome. When we pressed them, it came down to the same thing: “We’re worried your daughter might infect the vaccinated.”
I was pissed. There were no referrals for years.
We ended up seeing a chiropractor — who had five healthy, unvaccinated daughters of his own — but he couldn’t meet our full medical needs.
Fast forward to today.
By what I can only call the grace of God, I stumbled into a forum, then another one, and eventually found an email buried in my spam folder. That email led me to VaxCalc.
